How we invest
1. Become investment ready
Before we invest capital into a company, we prefer to work with you for up to 3 months as part of the Fundie Venture Studio. We do this so that we can get to know you and your team and how the business works. It is also for us to do embedded due diligence, which means we work with you to get your business investment ready before we open it up to our angel network of co-investor partners.
In the Fundie Ventures Studio, we offer 3 core functions to achieve one of the following (we work on a monthly retainer for 3 months):
š Launch your business: Go from ideation to your first paying customer in 3 months. š§ Grow or get unstuck: Increase revenue by 10x. š° Raise investment: Secure funding between ā¬500k-ā¬5m within 3-6 months.

2. Raise investment
Companies that are part of the Studio go through our fundraising process. We open this up to our angel network first, made up of angels and individuals actively involved in growing/scaling climate tech startups. The Fundie Climate Angel Network collectively invests up to ā¬250k. For companies raising up to ā¬5m, we support to complete the fundraising round by connecting with our climate VC partners to co-invest with us.

Why we exist
Our purpose is rooted in the belief that businesses have the potential to reverse the damage they've inflicted on our natural resources, animals, and their habitats. We are consuming irresponsibly and have been for too long. The focus on decarbonization and climate tech isn't just a trend; it's a commitment to leveraging startup innovation to mend the very world we've altered for decades.
We are firm believers that business and positive change are inherently and inextricably intertwined. Profitability and purpose are not mutually exclusive ā together they form the DNA of a responsible business.
Our mission is to empower and partner with the brave visionaries ā the 'crazy ones' ā who share our belief in making meaningful, sustainable change can happen through business. Focusing on startups.
Our collective journey
While we are a small impact investment studio, we are launching a small decarbonisation fund to invest in the companies we work with.
Our intention is to use the fund to partner with startups that have innovative solutions that:
- Decrease or change the consumption demand on land
- Provide low friction access to renewable energy
- Decrease the consumption demand on animals
- Recycle/upcycle waste
- Provide a carbon low/free mobility or logistics solution
- Restore Habitat
- Capture climate data
- Remove or reduce carbon emissons
The premise of the fund is to invest in startups that show traction in decreasing the commercial impact on animals š, land š¾ and air šØ.
Our existence is driven by the profound belief that even with small actions, when taken together, we can move the needle by a centimeter; protect and repurpose one more acre of nature, reduce the demand on one less animal or reduce the temperature by one degree Celsius.
